Doris M. (Dvorshak) Stenack

Doris M. Stenack, 93, of Lehighton, died Sunday morning, August 6, 2017, in the Blue Mountain Health System, Palmerton Campus. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Stenack. She had previously worked as a nurse’s assistant at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Herring) Dvorshak. Doris loved art, oil painting, reading mystery novels, doing puzzles, but the greatest joy was raising her three boys. She had a funny sense of humor and a great smile. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Jr., a sister, Caroline Brennan, two brothers, Sheldon and Alvin. Doris is survived by two sons, David and his wife Susan of Lehighton and Jesse Smith and his wife Margie of Colorado; a sister Mary Schmoyer of Allentown; three grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Freeland Cemetery.
