Bruce A. “Buster” Hartman Sr., 77, of Franklin Township, died Saturday, February 17, 2017. He was the husband of Darlene (Haupt) Hartman. They were married on October 21, 1961. Prior to retiring, he was employed with Consolidated Freightways for 34 years. Born in Packerton, he was the son of the late Edward and Elsie (Williams) Hartman Koch. He was a member of St. John’s Church of Mahoning. He was a life member of the Franklin Township Fire Co., Beaver Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton, and a member of the Packerton Old Timers Club. He was an avid hunter and a Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond, a sister, Patricia Smith and a stepfather Earl Koch. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Dr. Bruce Hartman Jr., and his companion Patty Kripper, of Lehighton, and Troy and his wife Melissa of Andreas; a daughter Dedria of New Ringgold; two brothers, Richard and his wife Joan of Walnutport, and Edward of Lehighton; a sister, Pearl Ahner of Lehighton; a grandson, TJ, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be private. Interment will be in the Packerton Cemetery. Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
