George D. Bogert

George D. Bogert, 73, of South Whitehall Township, died Thursday morning, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Patricia A. Frantz. They observed their 23rd wedding anniversary on July 24th. Born in Gilbertsville, he was a son of the late John and Hilda (Fishl) Bogert. George was a disabled Army Vietnam Veteran and jack of all trades. He was an easy going, sensitive man. He loved cooking, fishing and boating, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. His greatest joy was driving his antique red MGA. He was preceded in death by a sister, June Farrels. In addition to his wife, George is survived by two brothers, John T. Jr. and his wife Mary of Allentown and Leroy Sr. and his wife Dolores of Germansville; sister, Joan, wife of Carl Hein of Germansville; Nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life service to be announced. Contributions may be made in his name to any animal rescue shelter of choice.
