Murrell A. Heinemann Sr.

Murrell A. Heinemann Sr., 74, of New Ringgold, formerly of Warrington, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, in the Orwigsburg Center. He was the husband of Ethel J. (Shimer) Heinemann. They were married on July 25, 1964 and celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He was formerly employed at Tastykake in Philadelphia in the mechanical maintenance department. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Murrell A. Gill and Dorothy (Snowden) Heinemann and stepson of Walter Heinemann. Murrell was a former member of Warrington Fellowship Church. He was a member of the New Ringgold Fire Co. No. 1, the Warrington Fire Co. and the Horsham Fire Co. He belonged to the Hatboro F.& A.M. Masonic Lodge. He was an avid war plane enthusiast and enjoyed building models and was knowledgeable on war time aircrafts. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Murrell A. Jr. and a daughter Denise. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold, PA 17960, with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral on Friday from 9:30 to time of service. Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
