Arnold Miller Obituary

Arnold R. Miller, 83, of West Penn Township, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2021, at home with his family by his side.

He was the son of the late Leon O. and Gertrude (Kistler) Miller and was born and raised on the family farm where he took great pride, with his wife Kay (Boyer) in raising his family there as well. Along with farming, he also worked for Paul Zehner, Kellner’s, Tam Pallet, as well a driving bus for Kistler Transportation for 20 years before retiring. After retiring he continued to farm for his son Kent. Arnold was a humble man, a hard worker, he had a great sense of humor, and always placed the needs of others first. His smile would light up a room. He loved camping, farming, gardening, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He planted a garden year after year making sure his family always enjoyed the fruits of his labor. In his retired years he would always seem to know when a family member needed a helping hand and would show up at the right moment to assist with so many projects. When he saw a need, he acted on it.

Arnold is survived by his wife Kay (Boyer), six children, Bruce, and his wife Karen (Behler), of Tamaqua, Beverly Miller, of Washington PA, Susan, and her husband Michael Hunsicker, of Tamaqua, Kathy Keich and her companion Gregg Gerko, of Mountain Top, Wayne, and his wife DelAnn (Miller), of Andreas, Kent, and his wife Jennifer (Miller), of Tamaqua; eleven grandchildren, Jason Miller, Nathan Miller, Nicole (Miller) Pentland, Tabitha (Wehr) Eckenrode, Chad Wehr, Joshua Hunsicker, Zachary Hunsicker, Alyssa (Keich) Whiting, Derek Keich, Travis Miller and Mitchell Miller; eleven great grandchildren, Blaze Flyzik, Olivia Miller, Logan Parrish, Macy Hoback, Eleanor Pentland, Madeline Eckenrode, Emma Wehr, Piper Wehr, Mason Hunsicker, Tate Hunsicker, and Tripp Miller; brother, Terry Miller, and his wife Laurie, of Tamaqua; two sisters, Charlotte Solt, of Tamaqua, and Karen, and her husband Gerald Diehl, of Lehighton; nieces and nephews.
