Janalene M. (Grosser) Bensinger

Janalene M. Bensinger, 67, of New Ringgold, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the wife of Roy E. Bensinger. They were married on December 21, 1996 and celebrated 25 years of marriage. She attended Butler Middle School and graduated from North Schuylkill High School, Ashland. She was a 20-year U.S. Navy Veteran, retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. In recent years, she worked at Boyer’s Food Market, Tamaqua. Born in Ashland, she was the daughter of Ann C. (Thomas) Hanson of Gordon and the late Raymond E. Grosser Jr. Surviving in addition to her husband Roy and her mother Ann, is a sister, Jean Anne Lute of Gordan; two brothers, Raymond E. Grosser III of Oklahoma, and Peter Selinsky Jr. of Gilberton; step-son, Eric Bensinger and his wife Deborah, and their three daughters, Zoë, Penelope and Posie, of Mary Esther, Florida; step-daughter, Alyssa, wife of David Colangecco of Andreas; cousin, Regina Sager of New Ringgold. A private family graveside service and interment will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Drehersville Evangelical Cemetery, Drehersville.
