Luther F. Solt

Luther F. Solt, 83, of Tamaqua, West Penn Township, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in his home. He was the husband of Charlotte (Miller) Solt. They were married on June 6, 1958 and would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this year. He was the son of the late Paul and Lillian (Heilman) Solt. He was a 1956 graduate of Lehighton High School. He was employed by George Husack Trucking Co., Schnecksville, prior to retiring in 1999. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Craig L. Solt and his wife Sallie; granddaughter, Kara, wife of Josh Richardson; great granddaughter, Samantha Richardson, all of Slatington; three sisters, Rachael Bednar, Mary Virginia Flyzik and Orpah Ruch, all of Lehighton; three godchildren, Connie Diehl, Tracy Smith, and Dr. Jason Fritz. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Solt, brothers-in-law, John Bednar and DelRoy Ruch. At Luther’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
