Michael L. Pireda
Obituary
Michael L. Pireda, 87, of Andreas, died February 3, 2022, in Weatherwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George and Ethel (Mellin) Pireda. Prior to retiring, he was employed by the Lehigh Valley Post Office. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War with the 82nd Airborne Division and was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and the United Nations Service Metal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, Allentown, and various veteran’s clubs. Surviving are two sons, Michael L. Jr. (Sonya) of Andreas and Louis of Lehighton; daughter, Donna Boyea of Colorado; brother Ernest of Coopersburg; two sisters, Anna Dailey, and Bernice Sam both of Allentown; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
