Nancy L. Duquette, 85, of Orwigsburg, and formerly of Canadensis, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville. She was the wife of the late Lucien Duquette, who passed away on April 2, 1988. Born in Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mabel (Gildner) Shelly. Prior to retiring, she worked in the administrative office at Tobyhanna Army Depot and she previously worked at various sewing mills as a sewing machine operator. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Exley and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are three sons, Keith and his wife Joyce, of Bartonsville, Kevin, of Lehighton, and David Smith, of East Stroudsburg; three daughters, Jean, wife of Leroy Romig, of Tamaqua, Shirley Davis, of Tamaqua, and Patricia Force, of Dawsonville, GA; two sisters, Peggy Peltz, of Hellertown, and Carol Moyer, of Allentown; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, October 9, 2020, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Trachsville, 500 Church Rd., Palmerton, PA 18071, with the Rev. Virginia M.
