Obituary

Robert N. “Robin” Ehrig, 76, of Tamaqua, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Born in East Stroudsburg on November 27, 1944, he was the son of the late John P. and Elizabeth (Seligman) Ehrig. He graduated from Tamaqua Area High School the Class of 1962. He attended Tri-State College, and graduated from Indiana University of PA with a Master of Science degree and East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Geography and Urban Planning. He served honorably in the U.S. Army with two tours in Vietnam from 1966 through 1968. Prior to retiring, he was employed by Mack Trucks and later a private investor. Robin was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, a life member of VFW Post 2540, Stroudsburg, DAV, Mountain City Chapter #3, American Legion Post 0922, Canadensis, and Trout Unlimited. He enjoyed fly fishing in the Poconos. He was also preceded in death by a brother J. Peter Ehrig on April 6, 1993. Services will be private.
