Shirley A. (Steele) Shellenberger

Shirley A. Shellenberger, 89, of Andreas, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, in The Summit at St. Luke’s, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late George D. Shellenberger, who died on October 20, 2018. Prior to retiring, she was an administrative assistant at the former Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton, and previously at Sears and Roebuck, in the accounting office. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Pearle B. (Ryan) Steele. She was of Catholic faith. Shirley was a life member of the Andreas Sporting Club, an avid bowler and enjoyed going on bus trips to the casinos. She loved dogs and cats and bred Siberian Huskies. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Martin. Surviving are two sons, Dean, of Carlsbad, California, and Scott and his wife Beverly, of Lehighton; a brother, George Steele and his wife Luena, of Norristown; five grandchildren, Danny Martin, Amy, Jake, Nicole, and Michael Shellenberger; three great grandchildren, Blake Colaviti, Evan, and Levi Shellenberger. Private services at the convenience of the family. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
