Thomas M. Hartsell, 55, of Tamaqua, grew up in Waterford, and was formerly of Corry and Palmerton, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in his home. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Kay Builders, Inc., Allentown. Born in Burbank, California, he was the son of the late Leslie S. and Connie L. (Reynolds) Hartsell. He was a member of the Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, camping, and going to off road events. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Hartsell, and a nephew. Surviving is a daughter, Greta Hartsell, of Philadelphia; brother, Kurt Hartsell, of Telford; four sisters, Terri Hartsell, wife of Rex Bassett, of Vista, California, Stephanie Hartsell, of Warminster, Susie Hartsell, of Jamison, and Melanie, wife of Tom Eckhardt, of Trumbauersville; long-time companion, Tamilee Haaf, of Tamaqua; and four nieces. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to American Diabetes Association, Attn: Service Center, P.O.
